We All Need Music!

The Educational Mission of the WV Symphony Orchestra is to spark lifelong learning, musical engagement, and growing minds.

Our mission is to provide resources and opportunities for all learners to develop curiosity and creativity through experiences with orchestral music.

The symphony orchestra consists of four families of instruments— strings, woodwinds, brass, and percussion.

To compose music, sounds are arranged in particular combinations to create particular styles of music.
