2026 Young People’s Concert: Discover Your WV Symphony

“Discover Your West Virginia Symphony,” invites students inside the magical world of the orchestra. Why does a piccolo sound different than a tuba? What, really, is the difference between a violin and a viola? And most important of all, how do all these carefully crafted bits of wood and metal come together to create music full of stories, emotions, and excitement? Featuring a grand sweep of musical history, from Johann Strauss composing in 19th -century Vienna, Austria, to Nicky Sohn, whose piece “Is this the happiest place on Earth?” was written just last year in Houston, TX, our concert welcomes all students into the incredible world of orchestral music. Concert lasts 50 minutes.

Clarksburg, WV – The Robinson Grand Performing Arts Center Thursday, November 18, 2026 @ 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.

Cost:
- $4 per student
- Free for 1 adult/chaperone ticket with every ten students
- $4 for each additional adult
