Rumpelstiltzkin: Straw Into Gold is a clever recasting of Rumpelstiltzkin by the Brothers Grimm.  This fairy tale is full of colorful music, fanciful characters and audience participation.  This setting is written and conducted by Maestro Grant Cooper.

Grades 2-8 (recommended)

November 18 & 19 at 9:45 a.m. and 11:35 a.m.

Cost:  $4 per student, free for teachers/chaperones within a ratio of one teacher/chaperone for every ten students; $4 for each additional adult above the 10:1 ratio

Scholarship applications should be submitted the same time you register.

Complete lesson plans and interactive CD-ROM developed by WVSO are provided upon registration.  CD-ROMS can be used at individual computer stations or with LCD projector as whole class activities.  Our nationally recognized CD-ROM materials will help your class prepare for the concert experience.

As part of the cross-curricular objectives, students have the option to submit artwork which will be on display in the Grand Lobby during the concerts.  Students are also encouraged to suggest names that the queen may have come up with each time Rumpelstiltzkin returns. Several will be chosen for use in the concert!
